Curriculum for Neurogastroenterology & Motility Training, joint ANMS-ESNM task force

it is our pleasure to announce that the first step of the Joint ANMS-ESNM task force being created with Prakash Gyawali (ANMS) and Edoardo Savarino (ESNM) as co-chairs have completed the first part of its work and produced a Curriculum, with different subdomains sub-divided in three tiers according to different degree of expertise, for physicians who are going to increase their knowledge in Neurogastroenterology and, perhaps, developing a future career in this field. The curriculum will be presented at the upcoming Federation of Neurogastroenterology and Motility Congress in Amsterdam (August 2018). The next steps of the Joint ANMS-ESNM task force will be to develop criteria to assess quality of academic NGM centers, utilizing curriculum and training domains from this recent publication.

"Infant faecal microbiome diversity and behavioural outcomes at age two" by Amy Loughman

This study asked the question: Does infant gut microbiota composition predict the risk of subsequent behaviour problems? We found that increased carriage of Prevotella at 12-months was associated with decreased likelihood of behaviour problems at 2 years of age. This association was independent of a broad range of covariates including temperament in early infancy and maternal mental health.
